What is RAD ballet compared to cecchetti?

They are two different training methods, but to call the RAD style "unique" is not correct since there is a lot of overlap. My daughter got her initial training in Cecchetti, but was able to pick up other styles, including RAD, very easily. She has noticed, however, that dancers trained in the Balanchine style have a much harder time adapting to other styles of ballet.

The Cecchetti method is a lot more systematic in breaking down ballet movements into simpler forms in order to teach them to younger students. It also pays a lot more attention to matters of anatomy in order to prevent against injuries. However, the Cecchetti style has a problem in that it doesn't come together well to create moves that flow naturally. Therefore, all the choreography that dancers will encounter will be in other styles. On the other hand, the Cecchetti method provides such a strong foundation in ballet that Cecchetti-trained dancers have an easier time in picking up those other styles.

rad stands for royal academy of dance (i think this is what you are talking about), and is a dance school. here is their website:

cecchetti is a style of ballet instruction. here is what it says on wikipedia:

they are totally different things, so it is hard to compare them.

Cecchetti as an Italian ballet style.Cecchetti was a real person.RAD(Royal Academy of Dance)combines the French,Russian and Italian ballet methods to create a unique ballet style .With over 15,500 members in 82 countries the Royal Academy of Dance is one of the largest and most influential dance education and training organisations in the world. i dont know what "rad" ballet is but i take cecchetti and it is the study of ballet so you have to learn al of these french terms and you have to have examinations so you have to be very precise.
