there is wood in the tips of their shoes to train them.
Its Soo Amazing aint it lool... =] I Cant wait to go on pointe.. =]
pointe shoes have a small amount of wood in the tip but they must also have their toes strapped up with special tape to keep them all together
They have special shoes as you can see. The tip of the shoe has "cheese cloth" in it. Maybe you could go on youtube and see "how a pointe shoe is made" Ballet dancers who go en pointe have to have some ballet training. So if you wanna do this then sign up for ballet!:)
The point shoe has a hard box that supports their toes and the shoes is very tight. The sole of the shoe is also relatively hard to support the foot. The ribbons and the elastics also support their ankles. It takes years of training and a lot of strength.
They are wearing pointe shoes. There is a block of wood in the bottom of the shoe that helps them to stand up like that.
special shoes with wooden blocks in the toes...and lots and lots of practice!
